Burgan Bank recently concluded a national initiative to honor the frontline firefighters of the Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) in recognition of their dedication to safeguarding lives and property across the country. The initiative highlighted the firefighters’ national and humanitarian efforts, particularly during recent exceptional circumstances that demanded heightened preparedness and response.
The event, held in Kuwait, saw participation from subsidiaries of Kuwait Projects Holding Company (KIPCO) alongside numerous Kuwaiti business owners and entrepreneurs. This collaboration reflected a broader community solidarity and appreciation for the KFF’s pivotal role in national security and public safety. Representatives from both Burgan Bank and the Kuwait Fire Force attended the ceremony, including Brigadier General Mohammed Bader Al-Gharib, Director of Public Relations and Media at the Kuwait Fire Force; Danah Faisal Al Jasem, General Manager of Corporate Communications at Burgan Bank; and Hessa Hussein Al-Najada, Senior Manager of Media Relations and CSR at Burgan Bank.
Burgan Bank framed the initiative within its social responsibility strategy and commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. The bank emphasized its role in supporting national efforts, empowering communities, and fostering partnerships that align with Kuwait Vision 2035’s goals for sustainable development. The recognition conveyed a message of gratitude to Kuwait’s frontliners, describing their actions as embodying love and loyalty to the country.
Among the private sector partners involved were Kuwait Hospital, OSN+, Alothman Outlet, Moro, Shuffle Gents Salon, Thkur Jewelry, Lapomdamour, Flare Fitness, Macros Healthy Meals, Ali Kakoli Group for Men’s Fabrics, High Clean Laundry, Workshop, Caribou Coffee, Golbha Game App, and Taboo Spa.
Danah Faisal Al Jasem stated that the initiative underscores the critical role of the Kuwait Fire Force in reinforcing community safety and praised the strong response from firefighters and the participation of local business leaders. She highlighted the bank’s commitment to celebrating frontline workers and supporting those who confront challenges and emergencies as the first line of defense.
Brigadier General Mohammed Bader Al-Gharib expressed that the initiative holds significant moral value for fire force members, demonstrating societal appreciation for their work in protecting individuals and property. He acknowledged Burgan Bank and its partners for organizing the event, noting that such recognition motivates personnel and promotes continued dedication to serving Kuwait and its community. The general also emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between private sector institutions and government entities through community partnerships.
As part of the initiative, Burgan Bank distributed educational materials aligned with the national banking campaign “Let’s Be Aware” (Diraya), launched by the Central Bank of Kuwait in coordination with the Kuwait Banking Association and local banks. The campaign aims to improve financial literacy and encourage safe use of banking and digital services. The materials provided to the Kuwait Fire Force focused on raising awareness about online fraud risks and preventive measures, contributing to stronger financial security and literacy across society.
