Kuwait’s Burgan Club secured a spot in the final of the 28th Asian Men’s Club Handball Championship after a narrow 32-31 victory against Qatar’s Al Duhail in the semi-final on Monday. The tournament is being held at the Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Sports Complex in Kuwait City.
Burgan overcame a halftime deficit, trailing 16-14, to stage a significant comeback in the second half. The home team’s strong performance helped them overturn the scoreline and advance to the final for the first time in the club’s history. The atmosphere was energized by a supportive local crowd, which played a role in boosting Burgan’s resurgence.
Although Al Duhail was edged out, their player Mustafa Heiba was recognized as Man of the Match for his standout performance during the contest. The championship final is scheduled for June 17.
