The Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management (CAHM) at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) has expanded its global training opportunities through a partnership with CÉ LA VI Singapore, a prominent rooftop dining and lifestyle venue at Marina Bay Sands. This collaboration aims to enhance practical learning experiences for students pursuing hospitality, commercial cookery, and patisserie courses.

CAHM, widely recognised as Sri Lanka’s leading private institute for hospitality, tourism, and events education, has built its reputation by integrating international expertise with hands-on training in modern kitchens, training restaurants, and simulated hospitality settings. The partnership with CÉ LA VI Singapore further strengthens the academy’s objective to prepare students for careers that meet global industry standards.

CÉ LA VI, known for its vibrant Southeast Asian-inspired cuisine and dynamic social spaces, operates internationally across major cities such as Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, Dubai, and London. The partnership enables selected CAHM students to participate in a three-month overseas internship program at the Singapore location, where they gain direct exposure to global service standards and operations in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.

Since 2025, CAHM has facilitated the placement of five batches of students at CÉ LA VI Singapore. Candidates for these internships are chosen through an interview process focused on students enrolled in Hospitality Management, Commercial Cookery, and Patisserie programmes. The internship provides practical experience in professional kitchen operations, guest service delivery, and collaboration across cultural contexts.

Alongside refining technical skills, students develop key professional attributes such as adaptability, teamwork, communication, independence, and confidence. The program also includes a stipend, supporting students financially during their international training.

This partnership reflects CAHM’s ongoing commitment to bridging academic study with industry experience, serving as a conduit for Sri Lankan hospitality talent to access global career pathways. By aligning with internationally recognised brands and offering overseas internships, CAHM aims to advance hospitality education locally while equipping graduates to thrive on the global stage.
