The attorney for Lindsay Clancy has requested an investigation into the conduct of a juror following the mistrial in her case. On Monday, Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, asked Judge William Sullivan to examine whether juror Michael Desronvil improperly completed jury forms or provided inaccurate answers during the jury selection process. The motion also raised concerns about Desronvil’s use of his cell phone during deliberations.

According to the filing obtained by a local news outlet, Reddington urged the court to scrutinize Desronvil’s behavior due to claims that he did not actively participate in deliberations and was frequently on his phone. Fellow juror Nick Dargie reportedly stated in an interview that Desronvil refrained from engaging with other jurors and spent much of the time scrolling on his device.

Reddington further requested that the judge review Desronvil’s background for any history of domestic violence, though it is unclear how this may relate to the case or the jury’s decision.

The mistrial in the case arose after the jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict, with reports describing Desronvil as a holdout juror. The motion filed by the defense suggests that this juror’s actions and prior history may have influenced the outcome of the deliberations.
