LONDON — Cam Little delivered a dramatic 57-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 19-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The game-winning kick capped a tense finish and extended Jacksonville’s winning streak to three games.
The sequence unfolded after the Eagles took a 17-16 lead on Jake Elliott’s 48-yard field goal with eight seconds remaining. On the ensuing kickoff, Ameer Abdullah returned the ball 53 yards to the Philadelphia 39-yard line before being tackled with only one second left on the clock. This set up Little’s long-range field goal, which sailed just inside the crossbar, stunning the Eagles.
Little, who grew up as a soccer fan and frequently watched English Premier League matches, celebrated the kick with a tribute to Jude Bellingham, spreading his arms wide in homage to the England and Real Madrid midfielder. Wearing a Manchester United jersey at his postgame news conference, Little called the moment “the coolest” of his career.
The Jaguars overcame several challenges during the game, including using defensive lineman DaVon Hamilton as a long snapper after backup Ross Matiscik left with an injury. Hamilton’s role played a crucial part in a missed extra point following Parker Washington’s 27-yard touchdown catch late in the fourth quarter, which gave Jacksonville a brief 16-14 lead.
Philadelphia, now 2-3 for the first time since 2021, entered the game without leading rusher Saquon Barkley and key receiver DeVonta Smith, using a makeshift offensive line. The Eagles were held to just 22 rushing yards and struggled to control the game despite early success. Backup running back Will Shipley scored on a two-yard run, and receiver Darius Cooper caught a 62-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts, who completed 21 of 40 passes for 220 yards and one touchdown.
Trevor Lawrence finished with solid numbers for the Jaguars, completing 24 of 39 passes for 331 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Washington emerged as a key playmaker with six receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns, including a 51-yard score in the first quarter. Tight end Brenton Strange contributed seven catches for 68 yards.
The contest was marked by intense physicality, including a scrum at midfield that resulted in the ejection of Jacksonville’s Bryan Thomas Jr. and Philadelphia’s Jeremiah Trotter Jr. Early in the game, a 90-yard kickoff return by Jaguars rookie Josh Cameron was nullified by offsetting penalties.
Philadelphia coach Nick Sirianni expressed regret over a late-game strategic decision not to have the kickoff go out of bounds, which would have forced Jacksonville to start deeper in their own territory with no timeouts. “I didn’t make the right decision, and I lost us that game,” Sirianni said, taking full responsibility.
Jalen Hurts acknowledged his own performance shortcomings and emphasized learning from the loss. Despite a strong defensive effort from Eagles lineman Jalen Carter, who recorded two sacks and two forced fumbles, Philadelphia was unable to capitalize fully on turnover opportunities.
The Jaguars’ 19-17 win in London highlights the unpredictability of NFL games played abroad, and underscores the challenges both teams face amid injuries and key personnel absences as the 2026 season progresses.
