Cambodia’s Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has issued a weather advisory warning travelers, especially those navigating waterways, to remain alert from October 6 to 10 due to the combined effects of three tropical storms in the region. The Southeast Asian country is currently under the influence of the outer bands of typhoons Nolo and Koguma, as well as tropical storm Surigae.

Although Cambodia is not directly in the path of these storms, their systems are expected to bring significant rainfall and strong winds across various parts of the nation. The ministry highlighted that these conditions will likely affect the Mekong River Basin, coastal zones, and both lowland and highland areas throughout the country.

Authorities have urged residents and travelers to exercise caution during this period, particularly on waterways where elevated water levels and turbulent conditions may pose increased risks. The ministry’s warning serves as a precautionary measure to mitigate potential disruptions and hazards associated with the peripheral impacts of the concurrent storms.
