KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait Municipality has intensified its efforts to address public hygiene and road occupancy violations across various governorates, authorities reported on June 24. The campaign, coordinated by the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Departments, aims to enhance field inspections and enforce compliance with regulations.
In Hawally Governorate, officials said that teams conducting an intensified inspection drive issued 65 citations related to breaches in hygiene and road occupancy rules. Alongside the enforcement actions, authorities removed 53 vehicles deemed abandoned or illegally parked in violation of municipal guidelines. Additionally, 361 warning stickers were placed on offending vehicles to notify owners of the infractions.
The measures form part of a broader push by the Kuwait Municipality to strengthen oversight and maintain cleanliness and order in public spaces. By increasing field presence and prompt intervention, the municipality seeks to deter violations and promote adherence to local ordinances governing public hygiene and vehicular regulations.
Officials did not provide a detailed timeline for the ongoing campaign but indicated that surveillance and enforcement would continue as part of ongoing efforts to improve urban management standards throughout Kuwait’s governorates.
