Foxborough — New England Patriots left tackle Will Campbell used the offseason to train alongside several veteran offensive linemen and elite athletes at Rooks Performance, a training facility owned by two-time Super Bowl champion Lane Johnson in Oklahoma. The gathering included notable NFL talents such as five-time Pro Bowler Dion Dawkins, 2024 first-round draft pick Tyler Guyton, two-time first-team All-Pro center Creed Humphrey, and Super Bowl champion Tristan Wirfs.

The group not only engaged in rigorous workouts but also shared meals and exchanged insights on football, training, and professional development. In addition to the football players, the sessions featured high-level strength competitors including Mitchell Hooper, a two-time World’s Strongest Man champion; former Navy SEAL Josh Bridges; and several professional powerlifters.

Campbell, who is coming off a promising rookie season despite a less consistent postseason, described the experience as highly valuable. “I worked with a lot of guys who have been around for a long time and have done it at a high level for a long time,” he said. “Anything that they could teach me that could help me, whether that’s football or off the field or just training or just being around them in the same environment, I always want to put myself in the best position possible.”

Among the relationships formed, Campbell highlighted a developing connection with Dawkins, who is entering his tenth season all with the Buffalo Bills, a division rival of New England. Campbell indicated that he expects to maintain this relationship moving forward.

The offseason collaboration reflects Campbell’s commitment to improving his craft by learning from experienced and accomplished teammates and competitors, potentially positioning him for a stronger performance in the upcoming NFL season.
