The Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), established by Qatar Foundation, launched the seventh edition of its Career Village event on September 28 at KidZania Doha. Running through September 30, the program serves as Qatar’s largest career exploration initiative and brings together over 40 employers from both public and private sectors.

Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry of Labour, and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, the event targets high school students from public, private, and international schools. Participating students engage in scheduled school visits and a structured training program designed to broaden their understanding of various professional fields.

Career Village features interactive exhibits, simulations, workshops, and opportunities to engage with industry professionals. These activities aim to familiarize students with the nature of different careers, including the skills required and the educational pathways needed to pursue them. Through this hands-on approach, students can explore their interests and begin planning their academic and professional futures.

The event includes representatives from a range of key sectors such as education, energy and utilities, technology, healthcare, aviation, security, media, and tourism. In addition to student engagement, the program offers academic and career counselors as well as educators a platform to connect with experts from various industries, enabling them to better support and guide their students.

Career Village is part of QCDC’s broader portfolio of initiatives that emphasize job shadowing and experiential learning. These programs aim to enhance students’ career awareness by providing direct exposure to professional environments at multiple stages of their educational journey.
