Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz described carrying the FIFA World Cup trophy onto the pitch ahead of Spain’s 1-0 victory over Argentina as a “lifetime experience.” The 23-year-old, who attended the final as a special guest of luxury brand Louis Vuitton, reflected on the unique opportunity tied to the collaboration between the brand and the tournament.

“Louis Vuitton had the trunks that carried the trophy, so they told me that I’m down to do it,” Alcaraz said, highlighting the connection that led to his role in the event. The winning goal was scored by Ferran Torres, securing Spain’s first World Cup title since 2010.

Alcaraz is preparing to return to competitive tennis at the US Open after an absence of around four months due to a wrist injury. He is set to face Russian player Roman Safiullin in the opening round of the tournament in New York.
