Rushall Olympic secured a 1-0 victory over Worcester City thanks to a decisive first-half goal by Carter Lycett, marking their second consecutive win. The match took place at Rushall’s home ground, where the Pics demonstrated strong control in the opening stages.

Lycett’s goal arrived midway through the first half, following an effective build-up play initiated by Liam McAliden. McAliden maintained possession before delivering a pass to the onrushing left-back inside the penalty area. Lycett then skillfully feinted a shot, causing the defender to lose balance, and finished by striking the ball low into the net. This goal reflected Rushall’s dominance during the initial 30 minutes of the game.

Shortly afterward, Alex Moore nearly extended the lead with an ambitious lob from distance that narrowly cleared the crossbar. However, Rushall’s control lessened in the second half as Worcester City increased pressure in search of an equalizer.

Despite Worcester’s possession spells, they failed to generate significant scoring opportunities. Rushall’s goalkeeper Ollie Taylor remained alert, successfully managing several crosses and long balls into the box. Late in the match, substitute Jack Concannon nearly sealed the outcome, but his shot from a tight angle went just over the bar.

In the closing moments, Worcester’s new signing Taroni came close to leveling the score, yet he was unable to direct his attempt on target. Rushall Olympic ultimately held firm to claim all three points, demonstrating resilience under increased pressure during the final stages of the contest.
