The Selangor Mega Food Fest 2026 is scheduled to take place from October 2 to 4 at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang, highlighting the state’s rich culinary and cultural offerings. As a key event under the Visit Selangor Year 2026 initiative, the festival aims to establish Selangor as a prominent gastronomy and lifestyle destination in the region.
Organised by Tourism Selangor, the three-day event will feature over 60 food and beverage vendors presenting a wide range of traditional, contemporary, and trending dishes that reflect the diverse culinary heritage of the state. Attendees can also experience food exhibitions, culinary demonstrations, eating competitions, cultural performances, interactive sports activities, and creative workshops.
The festival’s food zones will present Selangor’s traditional cuisine alongside modern urban food trends, with a particular emphasis on products developed through Platform Selangor (PLATS). This initiative serves to promote locally made products and support homegrown entrepreneurs.
A significant feature of this year’s festival is the launch of the Signature Selangor Campaign, a new program by Tourism Selangor designed to celebrate and promote the state’s iconic foods and beverages. The campaign aims to spotlight culinary products that embody Selangor’s cultural heritage, diversity, and unique local flavors.
Entertainment will be an integral part of the event, with performances by local artists including Bunga and Mohsein Kush. Additional live acts are scheduled throughout the festival: Cherpen and Sofazr on October 2; TPD Band on October 3; and renowned rock bands Kristal X and XPDC closing the event on October 4.
Beyond showcasing food and entertainment, the festival serves as a platform for local food and beverage entrepreneurs to market their offerings, expand their networks, and explore business opportunities. This initiative aligns with the Selangor government’s broader efforts to support local enterprises, boost the tourism economy, and enhance the state’s reputation as a culinary hub.
The Selangor Mega Food Fest 2026 will be officially opened by Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari. Organisers anticipate attracting over 20,000 visitors to the event, contributing to the goals of Visit Selangor Year 2026, which aims to welcome nine million tourists and generate approximately RM12 billion in tourism revenue throughout the year.
