The Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) announced it will hold a remote public hearing on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 10 a.m. to discuss proposed amendments to the regulation governing reporting requirements for Registered Provider Organizations (RPOs). The hearing will be conducted in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) chapters 12C and 30A.
The proposed changes pertain to 957 CMR 11.00, a regulation outlining the reporting obligations for RPOs. These amendments aim to incorporate updates consistent with modifications to M.G.L. c. 12C § 9 as established by Chapter 343 of the Acts of 2024. In addition, the revisions align the regulation’s penalty provisions with recent legal changes to M.G.L. c. 12C, § 11 under the same legislative act. The amendments also seek to clarify CHIA’s process for providing detailed data reporting specifications to regulated entities.
CHIA has indicated that the updated regulation is not expected to result in additional administrative costs for the affected organizations. Furthermore, the amendments are projected to have no fiscal impact on municipalities or small businesses.
Interested parties who wish to provide testimony at the hearing are encouraged to register in advance by emailing regulations@chiamass.gov. Written testimony can also be submitted via email to the same address, with the name of the regulation included in the subject line. Submissions must contain the sender’s full name, mailing address, and, if applicable, their organization or affiliation. For those unable to submit electronically, written testimony may be mailed to CHIA at 501 Boylston Street, Suite 5100, Boston, MA 02116. The deadline to submit written comments is 5 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026.
The full notice and the proposed amendments are available for review on CHIA’s website.
