The CFA Society Sri Lanka will hold its 13th annual Capital Market Awards on September 10, 2026, at the Oak Room of the Cinnamon Grand hotel in Colombo. The event, a key fixture in the society’s calendar, recognizes notable achievements within Sri Lanka’s capital markets since its establishment in 2012.
This year’s ceremony also marks the 25th anniversary of the CFA Society Sri Lanka, highlighting a quarter-century of the organisation’s efforts to promote professional development among investment professionals and contribute to the advancement of the country's capital markets.
Simon Ng, CFA, will deliver the keynote address. Ng serves as the APAC South Presidents Council Representative for the CFA Institute and is the Immediate Past President of CFA Society Singapore. With nearly three decades of experience in quantitative investing and wealth management, he is currently the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Peak Capital Management Pte. Ltd. His speech will focus on the current condition and future sustainability of Sri Lanka’s economy, drawing lessons from Singapore’s economic development and discussing the role of private sector investment and capital markets in fostering sustainable growth.
In addition to Ng, the event will host Reseena Abdullah, Regional Director for Society Relations-APAC at the CFA Institute. Abdullah works closely with CFA societies across the Asia-Pacific region to implement strategic plans that enhance member value, promote the CFA brand, and ensure sound governance frameworks. Her presence underscores the CFA Institute’s commitment to regional engagement and professional standards.
