The Canadian Football League (CFL) has issued fines to three players for on-field infractions during recent games. Montreal Alouettes defensive back Najee Murray and linebacker Tyrell Richards were penalized for high hits during their matchup against the Ottawa Redblacks, while Edmonton Elks defensive lineman Noah Taylor was fined for making contact with an official.

According to league officials, Murray was fined for a high hit on Redblacks quarterback Jake Maier during the game held on Friday. Richards was similarly fined for a high hit on Ottawa wide receiver Justin Hardy in the same contest. Both penalties reflect the CFL's ongoing emphasis on player safety and enforcement of rules designed to limit dangerous contact.

Separately, Taylor received fines following objectionable conduct penalties assessed in the first and second quarters of Edmonton’s 28-26 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday. The league stated that Taylor had made contact with an official, an action that violated CFL conduct guidelines and warranted disciplinary measures.

The CFL regularly imposes fines and other penalties to maintain discipline and safeguard players and officials throughout the season. The league has not disclosed the specific amounts of the fines levied against Murray, Richards, or Taylor.
