Chaka Khan premiered her latest album, "Chakzilla," at the Aman Jazz Club in Midtown Manhattan on Friday night, drawing a crowd of industry figures and friends to celebrate the release. The event featured a listening party where Khan performed selections from the new album alongside some of her classic hits, including "I’m Every Woman" and "I Feel for You."

Opening the night, Khan welcomed attendees and described the album as an upbeat addition to her body of work. “This is an upbeat, wonderful contribution of mine to you,” she said, inviting the audience to enjoy the new material. Throughout the evening, she remained actively engaged, singing along to her tracks while DJs Mia Moretti and Kamala provided the soundtrack.

The event attracted a diverse group of notable guests from the entertainment and creative industries. Among those seen were Maxfield Trucios-Haynes, known for his role in the production "Masquerade," as well as personalities such as Lola Ogunnaike, Mickalene Thomas, Latham Thomas, and artist Shaggy. Executive Sylvia Rhone and attorney L. Londell McMillan were also in attendance, alongside stylist Ty Hunter and Unik Ernest, who served as the event’s producer.

"Chakzilla" features collaborations with several prominent artists, including Sia, Snoop Dogg, and Lenny Kravitz, infusing the album with a blend of styles that span Khan’s long and varied career.
