Chelsea are exploring midfield options in Europe amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding Conor Scott’s contract situation. The Premier League club has submitted three bids in rapid succession after Scott ended negotiations on a new deal, but sources indicate they have not received any positive signals from the player’s representatives.

Insiders familiar with the situation described Scott’s advisers as “naive” in their approach to seeking alternative suitors, although they have not ruled out reopening contract talks once the current transfer window closes.

With the Scott negotiation at a standstill, Chelsea have turned their attention to potential signings, including Monaco’s Senegalese midfielder Lamine Camara and Roma’s French international Manu Koné. Monaco reportedly values Camara close to £50 million, having recently rejected an offer in the region of £40 million from Crystal Palace.

Chelsea’s recruitment strategy also considers waiting for future opportunities, such as the possibility of Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga becoming available during the January window or next summer.
