Chesham United secured a commanding 7-2 victory over Ware at the Meadow on Saturday, extending the visitors’ winless run in the Southern League Division One Central. The National League South side dominated from the outset, opening the scoring through Jayden Bennetts, who cut in from the left flank and fired a precise shot into the top corner.

Ten minutes later, Karl Oliyide doubled the lead after Ware goalkeeper Fred Burbidge parried a shot from Hisham Kasimu, with Oliyide capitalizing on the rebound. Chesham intensified their grip on the game in the second half, with Oliyide providing a clever back-heel assist for Alex Lafleur to make it 3-0 on the hour mark. Shortly after, Dubem Eze added a fourth, cutting in from the left before placing the ball inside the near post.

Ware persevered and managed to reduce the deficit when David Sota scored against his former club. However, Chesham quickly restored their four-goal advantage as Eze scored his second of the match with a solo run and precise finish. Eze completed his hat-trick with a low, well-placed strike, extending the lead to 6-1.

Ware responded with a consolation goal from Khale Da Costa, but Chesham’s substitute Will St Clair-Burton sealed the emphatic win by netting a late solo effort in the 85th minute. The result leaves Chesham confident in their early season form, while Ware continue to seek their first victory in the league.
