The Chicago Wolves, the American Hockey League team based at Rosemont’s Allstate Arena, have secured a new five-year license agreement to remain in the village. Under the terms of the deal, the Wolves will pay Rosemont $400,000 annually for the use of the arena and two additional facilities, while also sharing revenue from parking and sponsorships with the village.
In addition to extending their presence at the Allstate Arena, the Wolves plan to relocate their front-office operations from Glenview to a municipal building in Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district. The team will occupy a renovated 20,000-square-foot facility that was previously used by a Harley-Davidson dealership. Alongside the Wolves, a new tenant, Chubby Cattle BBQ restaurant, is expected to open in the building by spring.
The Wolves have been practicing at the nearby Rosemont Ice Arena, a recently constructed $34.5 million complex featuring two NHL-sized rinks and a range of player amenities. While the team explored the possibility of moving their home games to Hoffman Estates, they ultimately chose to remain in Rosemont, citing a strong partnership with village officials, the area’s growth, and its convenient location near central Chicago.
The Wolves have been a consistent presence in the Chicago hockey landscape since the Allstate Arena opened in 1994, maintaining their status as a key part of the region’s sports community.
