Chinese supermodel Ming Xi made her return to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on October 18, marking her first appearance at the event in eight years. The 37-year-old model last walked the runway in 2018, and her comeback has generated significant attention on social media.
Xi shared her excitement about returning to the Victoria's Secret runway in an Instagram post on October 19, describing the experience as akin to coming home. Accompanied by videos of her walking the runway and photos of her in a gold corset with large angel wings, her post quickly gained traction, amassing over 679,000 likes by the morning of October 21.
Mario Ho, Xi’s husband and son of the late Macau casino magnate Stanley Ho, publicly celebrated her return with two Instagram posts. He referred to Xi as a "real-life angel" and expressed pride in her comeback, writing, "Jaw dropped. So proud of you. Pride of the family. The angel is back with her massive wings."
Fellow Victoria’s Secret model Gigi Hadid also praised Xi’s appearance, commenting on a slow-motion shot of Xi in golden wings, calling it "so stunning."
Xi and Ho have been a high-profile couple since they began dating in 2017 after meeting on the Chinese reality show Mr Left Mr Right. They have two children together: a seven-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter. The couple’s wedding activities drew media attention, particularly a large reception held in Macau in September. During a traditional Chinese tea ceremony on September 28, Ho’s mother, Angela Leong, gifted Xi 22 gold bangles as part of the celebrations.
Ho proposed to Xi in May 2019 during an elaborate Super Mario-themed event in Shanghai, which involved 99,999 roses. The couple officially registered their marriage approximately two months later.
Xi’s reappearance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show highlights her enduring influence in the fashion industry and reaffirms her status among its notable figures after nearly a decade away from this particular runway.
