Chris Evans, the British DJ and television presenter, has acquired a £14 million waterfront mansion in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. The property, which includes a private marina capable of accommodating up to 30 boats, positions Evans alongside a close circle of notable residents in the Thames-side town, including chef Tom Kerridge and entrepreneur Peter Jones.

The newly purchased home, shared with his wife Natasha and their four children—Noah, 17; Eli, 14; and seven-year-old twins Walt and Boo—was constructed approximately 15 years ago on the site of a former cottage. It features six ensuite bedrooms, a snooker room with a bar, a study, a reading room, and a dedicated space for dogs, reflecting Evans’s affection for his rescue dog, Sparkles. The eco-friendly residence is equipped with lifts for easy access between floors. Outside, amenities include a swimming pool with a pergola and loggia, surrounded by trees, and extensive waterfront access on the property’s northern boundary.

This purchase marks Evans’s second property in Marlow. He previously bought a £4 million residence in 2019, described as a ‘crash pad,’ used primarily for overnight stays after socializing with friends Jones and Kerridge. Evans and his family were previously based in Ascot, Berkshire. The recent acquisition was made privately at the end of last year through Evans’s company, Zimple, financed with a mortgage from Coutts.

Evans, 60, rose to prominence in 2000 after selling the Ginger Media Group for £30 million. His overall net worth is estimated at around £70 million, which notably includes a car collection valued at approximately £30 million. His passion for automobiles extends to his family; in 2012, he purchased a road-legal replica of the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car for £500,000, which he shares with his son Noah.

Professionally, Evans continues to host a weekday breakfast show on Virgin Radio and created Carfest, an annual event supporting UK children’s charities. He also presents “TFI Unplugged” on YouTube, a revival of his 1990s show “TFI Friday,” which was recently commissioned for a six-episode run on Channel 4.

Evans began his career after leaving school at 16, initially working various jobs before establishing himself as a DJ on Piccadilly Radio in Manchester. He gained wider recognition on Channel 4’s “The Big Breakfast” and the game show “Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush,” reaching peak popularity during his tenure as presenter of BBC Radio 1’s breakfast show amid the Britpop era. His departure from BBC Radio 1 followed disagreements over professional conduct, including issues related to holiday scheduling and punctuality.

Evans has been married three times. His first marriage was to Carol McGiffin from 1991 to 1993, followed by a marriage to pop star and actress Billie Piper in 2001, which ended after three years. He married Natasha Shishmanian, a model and professional golfer, in 2007 after meeting at a celebrity golf tournament.
