The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has launched an expression of interest (EOI) process for the initial phase of the Navi Mumbai Integrated Logistics Park (ILP), marking a significant move to position the city as a key logistics center in India. The first phase, designated as a pilot project, encompasses 12 plots across approximately 72 hectares within the Pushpak Node near Chirle village.
The broader ILP development spans 374 hectares and aims to establish a robust logistics ecosystem equipped with essential infrastructure, utilities, and social amenities. As part of the early-stage efforts, CIDCO will develop core trunk infrastructure, including roads, water supply networks, sewerage systems, and stormwater drainage.
CIDCO Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Vijay Singhal emphasized Navi Mumbai’s strategic advantages, highlighting its proximity to major facilities such as the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, and improved regional connectivity. According to Singhal, these factors collectively position the city as a natural hub for logistics and related industries.
The ILP project is expected to facilitate more efficient goods movement, attract further investment, and contribute to sustained economic growth within the region. The pilot phase serves as a foundational step in realizing this vision, potentially establishing Navi Mumbai as a logistics hub of national significance.
Following the EOI submission and evaluation, the selected applicants will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CIDCO, outlining the terms for land allotment and financial commitments. This process aims to ensure transparency and clarity in the subsequent development stages of the logistics park.
