The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority formally launched ambulance services at the Civil Defence and Ambulance Centre in the Wilayat of Dhank, located within Oman’s Al Dhahirah Governorate, on Wednesday. The move aims to strengthen emergency medical response capabilities and broaden the reach of ambulance services throughout the Sultanate.

The activation ceremony was presided over by Shaikh Musallam bin Ahmed al Maashani, Wali of Dhank. Officials from various military, security, and government sectors also attended the event.

This development is part of the Authority’s broader strategy to improve operational systems, enhance field readiness, and accelerate response times to emergency ambulance calls. By expanding services to Dhank, the Authority seeks to provide more immediate emergency medical care for both citizens and residents, ensuring ambulance support is accessible closer to population centers within the wilayat.

The addition of ambulance services in Dhank complements the existing emergency response infrastructure within Al Dhahirah Governorate. It reflects the Authority’s ongoing commitment to advancing specialized emergency services in line with the evolving needs of the community.
