Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has referred a civilian employee at a border crossing to the Public Prosecution on charges of facilitating the unlawful departure of a Gulf woman subject to a travel ban, according to official security sources. The incident came to light after authorities received information that the woman, despite being listed on the travel ban register, had exited the country by land.

An internal investigation identified the employee, born in 1984, as the individual who assisted the woman in bypassing the travel restrictions. Details regarding the reason for the woman’s travel ban have not been disclosed, nor has it been confirmed whether the employee was compensated or acted for other motives.

Authorities emphasized that such actions constitute a criminal offense under Kuwaiti law, with the employee now facing multiple charges related to the unauthorized facilitation of travel for a person subject to official restrictions. The case has been forwarded to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.
