CNN’s flagship Global Perspectives forum is set to commence in Doha on October 29, bringing together a diverse group of dignitaries, political and business leaders, and influential figures to engage in discussions on geopolitics, technology, media, and culture. This marks the first time the series will be hosted in the Middle East and Gulf region.
The event will be held at the Rosewood Doha hotel, with Media City Qatar serving as the host partner. This collaboration builds on the relationship formed after CNN’s launch of a new operation in Qatar last year, which was part of the network’s wider strategy to expand its regional and global content presence. The date for the Doha forum was agreed upon following a meeting between CNN Worldwide Chairman and CEO Sir Mark Thompson and HE Sheikh Dr Abdulla bin Ali al-Thani, Chairman of Media City Qatar.
Renowned CNN journalists including Christiane Amanpour, Richard Quest, Becky Anderson, and Eleni Giokos will moderate conversations with regional and international leaders. The discussions will focus on how regions such as the Gulf are influencing the future landscape of global economic power, technological advancement, and cultural dynamics.
