The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen conducted a precision military strike on Sunday targeting key resources used by the Houthi militia to support its ongoing conflict operations. The operation was announced by coalition spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Malki, who said the strike was a response to persistent Houthi attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure within Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
According to Maj. Gen. Al-Malki, the Houthi group has continued exploiting critical assets to maintain and enhance its military capabilities, particularly focusing on ballistic missiles and drone technologies. These resources have been instrumental in the militia’s repeated offensives and posed a significant threat to the security of Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and maritime activities in the southern Red Sea region.
The coalition’s statement emphasized that the strike was intended to disrupt the militia’s capacity to carry out further attacks and to undermine their operational sustainability. Maj. Gen. Al-Malki underscored the coalition's commitment to continue employing necessary measures to deter hostile actions and impede the Houthi’s ability to leverage vital war-supporting infrastructure.
The coalition also issued a renewed call for the Houthi forces to halt all hostile actions against civilian populations and infrastructure, stressing the importance of protecting non-combatants and maintaining stability in the region. This latest military action reflects ongoing tensions in Yemen, where the coalition has maintained a campaign against Houthi forces aimed at restoring the internationally recognized government.
