Colossus Harbor, the latest spin-off from Kristin Colazas Rodriguez’s Colossus Bread bakery, has opened in San Pedro, occupying a space at the base of a luxury apartment complex overlooking the Main Channel. Building on the reputation established by its predecessors, Colossus Harbor offers an expanded menu that functions as three distinct dining experiences in one location.

Under the direction of executive chef Jeff Paletz, the bakery’s renowned bread program has evolved into a versatile culinary destination. Mornings are focused on pastries and coffee, featuring items such as flaky, buttery croissants. The lunch menu offers a variety of sandwiches, highlighted by options like the mushroom French dip. Evenings serve as a more intimate setting, with a selection of pizzas notable for their large size and bubbly crusts.

The dough, crafted from a blend of bread flour, hard red spring wheat, and spelt, delivers a chewy texture with a pronounced sourdough tang. This distinctive crust has become a signature element of the establishment, complementing the diverse offerings across meal times.

In addition to its food selection, Colossus Harbor includes a small market area specializing in natural wines primarily from the Mediterranean region. The wine list features crisp, acidic white varieties alongside robust red options, designed to pair well with the pizza and other menu items.

The combination of a scenic waterfront location, a broad menu covering breakfast through dinner, and a focus on artisanal breads sets Colossus Harbor apart as a multifaceted dining experience in San Pedro.
