Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor expressed enthusiasm ahead of the team’s upcoming NFL game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, highlighting both his personal motivation and the growing enthusiasm for American football in the United Kingdom.
Taylor, who has scored four touchdowns this season, acknowledged the Colts’ mixed start with two losses in their first three games. The team is seeking a crucial win against the Washington Commanders in the international fixture. Speaking ahead of the game, Taylor emphasized the importance of delivering a strong performance on the field to help broaden the sport’s appeal among British fans.
“I enjoy the overseas opportunities. You get to share the game that you love with people from all across the world,” Taylor said. He noted the vibrant atmosphere created by the fans, many of whom wore jerseys representing various NFL eras. “It’s cool that they come ready, and they are loud for the entire game, no matter the situation.”
Despite the challenges of travel, Taylor reported having no trouble resting on the flight from the United States to London, stating, “I knock out. As soon as that plane is moving, it’s over. I’m gone.”
The game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium marks another effort by the NFL to increase its global presence, particularly in the UK market, which has seen growing support for American football in recent years. The Colts hope to capitalize on this enthusiasm while securing a much-needed victory early in the season.
