The Indianapolis Colts will be without wide receiver Keenan Allen for Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium due to a groin injury. Allen, a six-time Pro Bowler, was limited in practice throughout the week and did not participate in Friday’s session. He was listed as questionable on the final injury report. Last week, Allen recorded six receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 19-17 win over the Houston Texans.

In response to Allen’s absence, Indianapolis promoted wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad to the active roster. Westbrook-Ikhine was also active for last week’s game. Another Colts receiver, Ashton Dulin, was designated as questionable with an ankle injury but participated fully in practice Thursday and Friday. The Colts are also still without their primary wide receiver Alec Pierce, who remains on injured reserve with a heel injury.

In Chicago, quarterback Tyson Bagent is expected to start for the Bears in their matchup against the New York Jets. Bagent has received the majority of first-team reps in practice this week, edging out Case Keenum despite Keenum’s recent strong performance, which included 247 passing yards and three touchdowns in Monday night’s win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Bagent had been sidelined during much of last week while in concussion protocol. He initially entered the lineup due to an injury to Caleb Williams, who is still recovering from a Grade 2 hamstring strain sustained Sept. 20 against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Carolina Panthers placed wide receiver Xavier Legette on injured reserve with a knee injury. Legette, a first-round pick in 2024, has not played since Week 2, when he suffered the injury after a 55-yard reception against the Atlanta Falcons. To fill roster spots, the Panthers promoted wide receiver Ja’seem Reed and cornerback Robert Rochell from the practice squad. Additionally, rookie right tackle Monroe Freeling cleared concussion protocol and has no current injury designation.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers elevated quarterback Easton Stick from the practice squad to serve as backup to Jalon Daniels against the Green Bay Packers. Daniels, an undrafted rookie from Kansas, will make his first career start with the regular starter Baker Mayfield sidelined due to a dislocated thumb. Stick was signed by Tampa Bay in early September; he has appeared in six NFL games previously with the Los Angeles Chargers, throwing for 1,133 yards and three touchdowns.

The Los Angeles Chargers also made roster moves, promoting tight end Patrick Herbert and outside linebacker Caleb Murphy from the practice squad for their game against the Seattle Seahawks. Herbert is the younger brother of quarterback Justin Herbert, and Murphy has contributed regularly on special teams across 20 career games with multiple teams.

Wide receiver DeVonta Smith of the Philadelphia Eagles is expected to miss multiple games due to a hamstring injury. Smith, 27, initially dealt with the injury during training camp but played in the Eagles’ first three games this season. He did not practice this week as he continues to manage the injury.

The Seattle Seahawks placed rookie running back Jadarian Price on injured reserve with a chest injury. Price, a first-round pick out of Notre Dame, sustained the injury in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals and was already ruled out for the upcoming game against the Chargers.

Green Bay Packers star edge rusher Micah Parsons remains on track in his recovery from a torn ACL sustained last December but is unlikely to return to game action before November. Parsons, a three-time All-Pro, is less than 10 months into rehabilitation with no setbacks reported.

Lastly, Buffalo Bills linebacker Joe Andreesen signed a two-year contract extension, ensuring his continued presence on the team. At 26 years old and entering his third season with Buffalo, Andreesen has established himself as a key contributor on special teams.
