Comedian Ellie Taylor will temporarily take over the lunchtime show on BBC Radio 2 from Emma Willis beginning next Saturday. Taylor, known for her role in the series Ted Lasso and a former Radio 2 Drive-time host, will fill in for Willis while she participates in the current season of Strictly Come Dancing.
Taylor, 42, who finished seventh in Strictly’s 20th series in 2022, is also set to host the show’s weeknight companion program, It Takes Two. She expressed enthusiasm about returning to the station and stepping in during Willis’s absence.
Emma Willis, 50, concluded her final Saturday show for the time being yesterday, featuring Strictly judge Anton Du Beke as a special guest. Willis’s temporary departure from the radio program coincides with her ongoing involvement in Strictly Come Dancing.
