Compass Group reported stronger-than-expected revenue growth in the third quarter, driven in part by increased demand from artificial intelligence (AI) clients in the United States. The FTSE 100 foodservice company posted a 7.1 percent rise in revenues for the three months ending June 30, slightly exceeding market forecasts.

Over the past year, Compass Group secured $4.3 billion in new business contracts, reflecting a 16 percent increase compared to the previous 12-month period. The firm’s business and industry division was a notable contributor, generating more than $2 billion in new contract wins. This growth was supported by heightened demand for food and support services from major AI hyperscalers.

Despite the positive revenue performance, Compass Group’s shares declined 1.7 percent, closing at $31.07. The company’s results underscore its expansion into segments benefiting from the growth of AI-related industries, highlighting the evolving landscape of corporate catering and facilities management services.
