Canadian rock band Rush postponed their scheduled concert at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on Wednesday due to unexpected travel and border-related delays affecting their touring production. The show, originally set for June 24, has been rescheduled for July 2, with all tickets remaining valid for the new date. Fans unable to attend the rescheduled performance are offered refunds through their original point of purchase.

The group had just completed the second of two concerts in Mexico City on Saturday before the postponement announcement. Despite the delay, the band’s other three scheduled concerts at Dickies Arena—on June 26, 28, and 30—will proceed as planned.

Rush, known for their progressive rock sound, recently launched their “Fifty Something” tour earlier this month, marking their first series of live performances in ten years. This tour is notable for featuring German drummer Anika Nilles, who joined the band following the passing of longtime drummer Neil Peart in 2020. Geddy Lee, the singer and bassist, and guitarist Alex Lifeson complete the current lineup.

The postponement highlights the logistical challenges that continue to impact live music tours, particularly those involving cross-border travel. The band’s management cited “unforeseen travel and border-related delays” as the reason for the change, underscoring ongoing complexities in international touring amid evolving travel regulations and restrictions.
