Consultations on Qatar’s National Human Rights Action Plan for 2026 to 2030 continued on Monday, as part of a series of sessions aimed at shaping the country’s framework for human rights protection. The meetings are overseen by the committee responsible for preparing the plan and are chaired by HE the Minister of State for International Co-operation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser al-Misnad.
The session held under the auspices of HE the Minister of Labour Dr Ali bin Samikh al-Marri focused primarily on topics related to the Ministry of Labour’s mandate. Participants reviewed proposals and strategies intended to guide the development of the action plan, ensuring that it aligns effectively with Qatar’s existing national policies and legal framework.
At the close of the session, officials highlighted the critical role of the National Human Rights Action Plan as a comprehensive national instrument designed to enhance human rights protections across the country. The consultations are part of Qatar’s broader efforts to consolidate its commitment to human rights through coordinated policy initiatives set to run through 2030.
