Corby Town has appointed Leon Mettam as the club’s permanent first-team manager following a period serving as interim head coach. Mettam took over the role amid challenging circumstances, with the club positioned at the bottom of the Northern Premier League Midlands table after suffering three consecutive defeats and an early exit from the FA Cup.
Mettam, who has longstanding ties to the club, expressed enthusiasm for his new role. He will be supported by assistant manager Danny Brooks as they seek to improve Corby Town’s performance in the ongoing campaign.
The club hopes that Mettam’s familiarity with Corby Town and his knowledge of the squad will provide stability and help reverse their recent poor form in the league.
