The weather disruptions significantly affected the weekend's schedule, limiting play and preventing any outright results across the division.

At Edgbaston, Nottinghamshire declared their first innings at 325 for 8, anchored by Joe Clarke’s 150. In response, Warwickshire were dismissed for 185, with Nottinghamshire fast bowler Olly Stone claiming five wickets for 49 runs, earning his side maximum bowling points. Despite the strong bowling effort, time constraints relegated the match to a draw, allowing Nottinghamshire to maintain a four-point advantage over Somerset in the standings.

Somerset, positioned second in Division One, faced Sussex at Hove. Tom Lammonby was the standout performer with 93 runs as Somerset posted 350 for 9. Sussex started their chase of a challenging target of 303 but were halted by the weather at 62 for 1, leaving the match drawn.

Surrey and Essex also shared points in a rain-affected encounter. Ben Foakes’ unbeaten 120 helped Surrey resist Essex’s advances and secure a draw. Similarly, Glamorgan survived their pursuit of a 302-run target against Hampshire in Cardiff. Hampshire had reduced Glamorgan to 21 for 3 before rain effectively ended the contest.

No play was possible at Scarborough due to the weather, resulting in a draw between Yorkshire and Leicestershire.

In Division Two, Durham continued their strong form by swiftly dismissing Gloucestershire, taking only six balls to secure a 10-wicket victory and extend their lead at the top of the table.

Nottinghamshire’s Olly Stone was the standout bowler across the fixtures in Division One, highlighted by his five-wicket haul against Warwickshire. With weather continuing to play a disruptive role, the championship remains closely contested as the teams prepare for the remaining fixtures.
