Crowborough Athletic and Hampton & Richmond Borough played out an eventful 3-3 draw in their second qualifying round tie. The match, contested on Saturday, featured a dramatic late sequence that kept fans on edge as both sides fought to advance to the third qualifying round for Crowborough’s second time in history.

Hampton & Richmond burst out from the start, taking the lead in the third minute through Jasper Mather, who notched his third goal in as many games. The early setback placed pressure on Crowborough, known as the Crows, who gradually settled into the match as the first half progressed.

In the second half, Crowborough capitalized on their set-piece threat. Lucas Mvongo’s long throws created confusion in Hampton’s defense, leading to the Crows’ first equalizer. Will De Havilland flicked on a throw, allowing Elliot Duncan to tap the ball into the net. Six minutes later, George Hutcheon headed in a second goal, giving Crowborough the advantage.
