The series stars Hugo Weaving as Billy, a congenial retired cameraman whose unexpected encounter with Dani, a caterer played by Heather Mitchell, sets off the reunion of an old social circle. Their initial meeting takes place on a ferry during a sailing event in Sydney Harbour, where Billy hides from his brother Gary, portrayed by David Wenham.
