DanceOne, a Los Angeles-based producer of educational and competitive dance events, has named Lauryn Turner as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately. The company, known for managing the world’s largest network of dance brands and tours, said Turner will spearhead its next phase of strategic growth. Her leadership will focus on operational alignment, expanding partnerships to create more opportunities for dancers, and further developing DanceOne’s portfolio of internationally recognized events.
Turner brings over 20 years of executive experience across youth and professional sports, Olympic sport governing bodies, and entertainment-focused consumer platforms. Her background includes roles as an athlete, coach, and judge, providing her with a nuanced understanding of the dance and sports communities. Her prior positions include executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Dallas Wings, a Women’s National Basketball Association team, and chief operating officer of USA Gymnastics.
In her new role, Turner is expected to leverage her expertise in organizational transformation and strategic growth to strengthen DanceOne’s market position and enhance its event offerings. The company did not specify additional strategic initiatives but highlighted Turner's comprehensive operational leadership as a key asset in advancing the organization’s mission to support dancers worldwide.
