A criminal network known as the Daniel crime clan has established a sophisticated dial-a-drug operation to distribute cocaine, cannabis, and ecstasy throughout Glasgow, according to law enforcement and sources familiar with the group’s activities. The clan is reported to be using WhatsApp to send advertisements directly to users, offering home delivery of various narcotics.

Under this scheme, dealers share drug price lists and images with potential customers, promoting products such as high-purity cocaine, mixed cocaine variants, cannabis vapes, and cannabis-infused chocolates. Some dealers reportedly encourage users to recruit others by offering free drug samples as incentives, contributing to a widening distribution network.

The Daniel clan is said to supply large quantities of drugs to Albanian gangs, which then distribute the substances across Glasgow and surrounding areas. This operational model has reportedly allowed the group to capitalize financially on the city's illicit drug market, especially as rival gangs have been weakened by arrests and violent incidents, including recent shootings.

A former drug user described being frequently targeted by digital messages, highlighting the persistent nature of the operation and its impact on vulnerable individuals. Law enforcement officials recognize the growing presence of this activity. Police Superintendent Jackie Dunbar acknowledged the problem and called on the public to assist by providing any information that could aid investigations.

The emergence of the Daniel clan’s network underscores ongoing challenges for authorities in tackling drug distribution in Glasgow, particularly as criminal groups adapt to digital communication methods to evade detection and maintain supply chains.
