Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones is expected to participate in the team’s first training camp practice on Wednesday despite recovering from an Achilles injury sustained last December. Jones, who has been rehabbing since the injury, indicated he will take part in the early stages of the team's preparations for the upcoming season.

The Colts also made roster moves ahead of camp by placing wide receiver Alec Pierce on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list due to an ankle injury. Additionally, rookie linebacker CJ Allen was placed on the PUP list with a calf injury. Both players will be sidelined during the initial practices as they continue their recovery.

Jones’s return marks a significant development for Indianapolis as the team seeks stability at the quarterback position following his offseason rehabilitation. The Colts will monitor his participation closely as they ramp up their training activities in preparation for the regular season.
