KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait’s Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah visited wounded members of the Kuwaiti ground forces who sustained injuries in recent attacks targeting several military facilities and camps. The attacks, attributed to Iranian aggression, resulted in casualties among service members stationed at various locations.

During his July 19 visit, the minister was briefed on the medical condition of the injured personnel and monitored the progress of their treatment. He commended the medical staff for their efforts in providing care and expressed wishes for the rapid recovery and ongoing well-being of the wounded soldiers.

Accompanying the minister was Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraian, Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, along with Deputy Chief of General Staff Major General Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Both senior military officials also met with injured ground force personnel and received detailed updates from medical teams about their health status and ongoing treatment.

Lt. Gen. Al-Shuraian praised the dedication and professionalism of the medical staff involved in caring for the soldiers. He reaffirmed his support for the injured personnel throughout their recovery process and extended his best wishes for their swift return to health.

The visits come amid heightened tensions following drone strikes attributed to Iran that targeted key military installations, underscoring the Kuwaiti government’s focus on addressing the welfare of its servicemen affected by the attacks. The defense leadership’s engagement with the wounded reflects a broader commitment to maintaining morale and operational readiness in the face of regional security challenges.
