Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani visited the Amiri Guard Camp, known as Barzan, on Thursday. Upon arrival, he was received by the Commander of the Amiri Guard, HE Major General Mohammed bin Sultan Al Suwaidi, along with the deputy commander, the inspector general, assistants to the commander, and several senior officers.
During the visit, Sheikh Saoud toured the Amiri Guard Command building, where he was briefed on the camp’s modern and advanced facilities. The discussion included an overview of the equipment used by the various departments and units within the Amiri Guard, which are designed to meet the highest military and security standards. The Deputy Prime Minister was accompanied by several senior officers from the Armed Forces.
The visit underscores ongoing efforts to maintain and develop the capabilities of the Amiri Guard, which plays a key role in national security. The briefing provided an opportunity to assess the progress and operational readiness of the unit, reflecting its strategic importance in the country’s defense framework.
