Development Projects to Come Up in Al Rustaq

The Wilayat of Al Rustaq is advancing multiple infrastructure and urban development projects, including the paving of 40 kilometres of internal roads, the City Walk urban enhancement, and the Aqabat Al Rustaq Gate upgrade, all progressing with significant completion percentages. The City Walk project represents a significant urban development endeavor, intended to combine social, recreational, service, and economic functions to improve quality of life. This initiative has attained 50 percent completion. Additionally, work continues on the Aqabat Al Rustaq Gate Development Project, focused on upgrading entrances and the overall urban landscape, which is 60 percent finalized.

In the transportation sector, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology is rehabilitating the existing 11-kilometre road connecting Al Hazm and Al Washil villages. Several other projects have been completed, including the development of the Al Hazm entrance, repairs addressing weather-related damage, maintenance of the Al Rustaq Vegetable and Fruit Market, and the installation of internal lighting within Al Rustaq Public Park as well as other locations throughout the wilayat.

The Wilayat of Al Rustaq is served by 50 government schools distributed across the region, providing educational services tailored to the population’s geographic and urban spread. Dr. al Nadabi emphasized that the school distribution system reflects the wilayat’s demographic expansion.

Health services in Al Rustaq comprise 10 medical institutions strategically located to ensure accessibility. The network includes Al Rustaq Hospital, Wadi Al Haymali Hospital, Wadi Bani Ghafir Hospital, and Al Rustaq Health Complex, along with six health centres: Al Rustaq, Al Hawqayn, Al Razi, Wadi Al Sahtan, Balad Seet, and Wadi Bani Awf Health Centres. These facilities collectively support the wilayat’s population with comprehensive medical services.
