The Doha Film Festival (DFF) has announced the introduction of its first-ever paid accreditation programme for the 2026 edition, scheduled to take place from November 19 to 27. The new initiative aims to offer film enthusiasts and industry professionals enhanced access and opportunities to engage with the festival’s diverse slate of films and events.

The programme features two accreditation categories: festival accreditation and industry accreditation. Festival accreditation is designed for dedicated film lovers and members of the creative community, while industry accreditation provides additional privileges, including access to exclusive professional programming and networking events within the festival’s hospitality spaces.

Both accreditation types grant holders unlimited entry to screenings of feature films, documentaries, and short films from Qatar, the region, and international filmmakers. Accredited attendees can also participate in DFF Talks, where directors, artists, and industry figures discuss various aspects of contemporary cinema. Additionally, some live music performances at the festival will be available to accredited guests at either free or discounted rates.

Fatima Hassan Alremaihi, CEO of the Doha Film Institute and Director of the Doha Film Festival, emphasized the festival’s role in fostering creative exchange and cultural connection. She said the expanded accreditation options invite audiences to engage more deeply with the festival, encouraging discovery, dialogue, and a sense of community centered around film.

Participation in the accreditation programme is limited, with early application encouraged. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and all submissions will be individually reviewed to ensure approval and availability. Those granted accreditation will receive a booking code permitting them to reserve up to 10 tickets online in advance, with additional tickets accessible through a physical box office on a first-come, first-served basis.

Key partners supporting the Doha Film Festival include Katara, Media City Qatar | Film Committee, and Visit Qatar. The festival continues its mission to highlight original storytelling and elevate important voices from the region and beyond, fostering dialogue among filmmakers and audiences alike.
