His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, has launched the seventh edition of Arab Hope Makers, a humanitarian initiative designed to recognise individuals making significant positive contributions within their communities. The initiative awards a prize of one million UAE dirhams to honour such efforts.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, with Sheikh Mohammed calling for nominations from across the Arab world for those who have devoted themselves to charitable work and acts of kindness without seeking public attention or recognition. He emphasized that the program aims to highlight individuals whose generosity fosters hope and positive change.

In a post on the social media platform X, Sheikh Mohammed underscored the importance of hope in sustaining societies, stating that it inspires confidence in a better future and motivates youth to envision brighter prospects. He noted that many who contribute to humanitarian causes operate quietly, away from public scrutiny, driven by a commitment to improving the lives of others.

Organised by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), Arab Hope Makers is the largest initiative of its kind in the region focusing on recognising humanitarian and community contributions. The programme seeks to collect tens of thousands of nominations to showcase stories of individuals, volunteer groups, and nonprofit organisations whose efforts have alleviated suffering, supported communities, or brought hope to others.

Nominations for the seventh edition can be submitted via the initiative’s official website, arabhopemakers.com. Eligible candidates include those who have developed humanitarian, charitable, or social projects demonstrating a measurable positive impact within their communities.

Sheikh Mohammed concluded his message by reaffirming the ongoing commitment of Arab Hope Makers to inspire individuals, promote hope, and encourage collective progress toward a better future.
