The 2027 Diamond League athletics season will commence in Doha on May 7, marking the start of a global series that features 32 disciplines contested across 14 meetings. Organizers have confirmed the full schedule, allowing athletes to strategically plan their participation in the premier one-day track and field circuit leading up to the season-ending final in Zurich on August 25-26.
Following the season opener in Qatar, the series will travel to Shanghai on May 15 and Xiamen on May 22. A two-day meeting is scheduled in Rome from May 27-28, followed by events in Rabat on May 30. The Diamond League will then visit three Nordic cities, with competitions in Oslo on June 3-4, Stockholm on June 6-7, and Paris on June 25-26.
The summer months will see the circuit move to the United States and Europe, featuring meets in Eugene, Oregon on July 3-4, Monaco on July 9-10, Lausanne on July 13-14, and London on July 17. After a brief break, the season will resume in Silesia on August 14-15, followed by Brussels on August 20-21, before concluding at Zurich’s championship event.
Each discipline will be held at between four and eight meetings throughout the season, providing athletes multiple opportunities to earn points toward qualification for the final. The structure aims to foster continuous competition among the world’s top performers, allowing them to gauge their form ahead of the World Athletics Championships scheduled for Beijing in September 2027.
Spanning four continents and 15 cities, the Diamond League remains the most prestigious athletics series of its kind. The 2027 calendar is designed to combine historic venues with emerging markets, offering athletes a global stage to compete for one of the sport’s most coveted titles.
