The Los Angeles residence famously renovated by actress Diane Keaton has sold for $18 million, several months after her death in October 2025. The property, located in Sullivan Canyon, is one of the few Keaton owned that had not previously been sold during her lifetime.

Keaton, who passed away at age 79 due to bacterial pneumonia, spent decades transforming the sprawling estate into a distinctive home. The 9,000-square-foot house features five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, brick walls, cathedral-vaulted ceilings, and a collection of reclaimed light fixtures. Outdoor amenities include a heated in-ground pool, spa, and a separate guesthouse. Keaton chronicled the extensive renovation process in her 2017 book, "The House that Pinterest Built," describing her approach as a reflection of image-driven creativity inspired by shared sources of beauty.

The actress, known for more than 100 film and television roles, was also a passionate house flipper, influenced early on by her father, a real estate agent. She recalled accompanying him to model homes in Santa Ana, California, during the 1950s, a formative experience fueling her lifelong fascination with home design.

The Sullivan Canyon estate was first listed on the market in March 2025 at an asking price of $28.9 million. The price was reduced multiple times over the following months, dropping to $27.5 million in May and then to $22.9 million by June 2026. The property was briefly removed from sale in September 2025 shortly before Keaton’s passing, then relisted in December at $26.9 million. The final sale closed for $18 million, with the buyer’s identity not publicly disclosed, according to listing agent Josh Flagg of Compass.

Separately, a notable Malibu property formerly owned by basketball Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett has entered the market with a $48 million asking price. Garnett bought the nearly seven-acre estate in 2003 and sold it in 2021 before the current owner, Vladimir Valsky, acquired it in 2022. Valsky, CEO of VIG Pirate Lending, has undertaken a comprehensive renovation.

Designed by Swiss architect Roger Kurath, the 11,000-square-foot residence includes six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, private movie theater, wine room, yoga and wellness spaces. Outdoor amenities feature an infinity pool, pickleball court, barbecue area, and 50 avocado trees. The listing is managed by Chris Cortazzo of Compass along with Aaron Kirman and Tomer Fridman of Christie's International Real Estate Southern California.
