Divfex Bhd has secured two supply contracts totaling RM120.12 million to support a 15-megawatt data centre fit-out project in Penang. The agreements were signed with a Malaysian firm specializing in data centre facilities and related infrastructure.
According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the contracts were awarded to Divfex’s wholly owned subsidiary, Diversified Gateway Bhd (DGB), and its 51%-owned unit, Excel Commerce Solutions Sdn Bhd. Under the terms, DGB will provide generator sets, transformers, switchgear, and low voltage equipment valued at RM84.44 million. Meanwhile, Excel Commerce Solutions will supply cables amounting to RM35.67 million.
The delivery timeline for the equipment is scheduled to be completed within three months from the date of the first delivery. However, this period may be extended by mutual consent in writing for up to six months if necessary.
The project marks a significant move for Divfex in the data centre supply sector, reflecting growing demand for infrastructure supporting cloud and digital services in Malaysia and the region. The equipment procured will play a vital role in powering the new facility, which aims to enhance data storage and processing capabilities in Penang.
