Dodge has introduced the Charger Sixpack to the British market through Unity Oxford, offering a modern take on the classic American muscle car with a blend of power, technology, and practicality. Priced at £76,000, the model features a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six engine, delivering 550 horsepower and capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. Its top speed is rated at 177 mph.
Unlike previous Charger models equipped with V8 HEMI engines, the Sixpack opts for a more efficient yet powerful inline-six configuration. The engine’s output is managed via an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Notably, the drivetrain features an all-wheel-drive system that can be switched to rear-wheel drive with the push of a button, providing versatility for different driving conditions. Dodge promotes this as offering “all-wheel drive when you need it, rear-wheel drive when you want it.”
In keeping with muscle car traditions, the Charger Sixpack includes a line lock feature that locks the front brakes to allow the rear tires to heat up and generate smoke during burnouts—intended for controlled track use. Although muscle cars have often been criticized for subpar handling, this model incorporates modern suspension technology, adaptive damping, and Brembo brakes to improve its cornering capabilities and overall driving dynamics.
Inside, the cabin balances retro styling cues with contemporary technology, featuring twin digital screens and sufficient space to comfortably accommodate four adults on longer journeys. The fuel economy is rated at around 19 miles per gallon, reflecting its performance-oriented design.
With its distinct widebody design and options such as the eye-catching “Bludicrous” paint finish, the Dodge Charger Sixpack aims to blend classic muscle car appeal with modern performance and comfort, offering enthusiasts in the UK a new choice in the segment.
