More than 140 students from Doha British School’s campuses in Ain Khaled, Rawdat Al Hamama, and Al Wakrah marked their graduation in a ceremony held at the Al Wosail Ballroom at The Ritz-Carlton Doha. The event, attended by over 400 guests including parents, educators, and school leaders, recognized students from Year 12 and Year 13 who completed internationally recognized programmes such as the International Baccalaureate (IB), AS Levels, and A Levels.
Hugh Hegarty, executive director of education, delivered the keynote address, commending the Class of 2026 for their dedication and perseverance. He emphasized the significance of the milestone, praising their resilience and ambition while expressing confidence in their future contributions. “Graduation marks the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance and personal growth,” he said.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of the Principal Awards, honoring one exceptional student from each campus for outstanding achievement, leadership, and contributions to school life. Robnawaz Khan, principal of DBS Rawdat Al Hamama, highlighted that the event celebrated not only academic successes but also the development of character, values, and confidence among the students. He expressed optimism about their continued success in upcoming endeavors.
Graduates reflected on their collective experience across the three campuses, acknowledging the friendships and achievements that have shaped their time at Doha British School. Many said the education they received equipped them with essential skills and confidence as they look forward to future challenges.
Following their graduation, numerous students are preparing to pursue higher education at prestigious universities worldwide in disciplines such as Medicine, Engineering, Business, and the Arts. Others plan to continue their studies at City University Qatar (CUQ) in Lusail, an affiliated institution offering UK degrees in a modern campus setting.
